Trace amounts of anti-A and anti-B isoagglutinins in plasma-derived Immunoglobulin (Ig) can increase patient risk forhemolysis, which may lead to severe complications. The Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2020 edition) explicitly requires that the titersof anti-A and anti-B do not exceed 1:64. Therefore, anti-A andanti-B immunoaffinity chromatography can effectively removeanti-A and anti-B isoagglutinin antibodies from Ig, significantlyimproving purity and safety.
MaXtar Anti-A & MaXtar Anti-B are two affinity-based chromatography resins from BioLink, specifically designed for the efficient removal of anti-A and anti-B isoagglutinin antibodies, respectively. The resins have the following characteristics:
High binding capacity, low ligand leakage, and high selectivity reduce chromatography processing time andresin usage.
Lower nonspecific adsorption, resulting in higher recoveryrates and longer service life.
Excellent acid-base stability. Effective cleaning and disinfection can be achieved using 0.5 M NaOH, thereby enhancing process economics, bioburden control, and robustness.
