Heparin Chromstar® FF/HP are two affinity chromatography media made by covalently coupling heparin to an agarose matrix. Heparin is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan that has affinity with a variety of biomolecules and can also be used as an ion-exchange ligand. This chromatographic medium can be used to separate and purify coagulation factors, antithrombin III, growth factors, interferon, lipoprotein lipase, nucleic acid and steroid receptor enzymes, etc. These two products are characterized by high flow rate and high resolution respectively.
